FAQ — SessionEdge Lite

Frequently asked questions for the free version. For Premium questions, see the Premium FAQ.

1. Getting Started

The free TradingView plan is sufficient to add the indicator and view signals on your chart. To use real-time alerts, a TradingView Essential plan or above is required.

  1. Log in to TradingView at tradingview.com
  2. Open an EURUSD chart and set the timeframe to M5 (5 minutes)
  3. Click the Indicators button at the top of the chart
  4. Search for: SessionEdge EURUSD Lite by MyB2B
  5. Click the result to add it to your chart
  6. The status panel in the top-right corner should display READY

The indicator is loaded on the wrong symbol. Open an EURUSD chart and reload the indicator. SessionEdge is designed exclusively for EURUSD and will display this warning on any other pair.

The indicator is loaded on the wrong timeframe. Change the chart timeframe to M5 (5 minutes). The indicator will not generate signals on any other timeframe.

2. Reading the Chart

SessionEdge plots six key levels:

  • Previous Day High (PDH) — the highest price of the prior trading day
  • Previous Day Low (PDL) — the lowest price of the prior trading day
  • Session High — the highest price within the current active session
  • Session Low — the lowest price within the current active session
  • Opening Range Breakout High (ORB High) — derived from the opening range window
  • Opening Range Breakout Low (ORB Low) — derived from the opening range window

These levels update automatically as the session progresses.

When a setup is confirmed, the engine draws four lines from the signal bar:

  • Entry line — grey, marks the confirmed entry price
  • Stop line — red, marks the stop loss level
  • TP1 line — green, marks the first profit target
  • TP2 line — green, marks the second profit target

A label shows the direction (LONG or SHORT), entry price, and quality score. When the setup resolves, the lines are dimmed automatically.

A dimmed setup is no longer active. This happens in three cases: the setup hit its stop loss, the setup expired because price did not follow through within the allowed window, or the setup was invalidated by the engine. Dimmed setups are historical records only.

After the first profit target is reached, the engine automatically moves the stop to break-even — the original entry price plus a small buffer. The stop line updates to reflect this. No manual action is required.

3. Status Panel

Premium AddsReminder of features available in the Premium version

A setup is only drawn when the quality score clears the confirmation threshold AND all other filters pass simultaneously — including trend alignment, location relative to key levels, candle quality, and timing within the session. A high score indicates the engine is watching a potential candidate, but all conditions must align at the same bar for confirmation.

5. Session & Timing

The default session window is 07:00 to 13:00 New York time, covering the London and New York overlap. This can be adjusted in the indicator settings under the Session group.

No. The engine only scans for setups during the configured session window. Bars outside the session are ignored regardless of how indicators look.

6. Troubleshooting

Search for the exact title: SessionEdge EURUSD Lite by MyB2B. Ensure you are searching under the Scripts tab. If the script does not appear, try clearing the search field and re-entering the name.

  1. Confirm you are on EURUSD and M5 — the panel will show an error otherwise
  2. Check whether the session window has passed for the day
  3. Confirm that key levels and the status panel are enabled in indicator settings
  4. Try refreshing the chart with F5

Yes. The indicator works on the TradingView mobile app. Setting up and managing alerts is easier on desktop. The status panel may appear small on mobile — use TradingView's zoom to read it.
